Mediation

Managing conflict in the workplace distracts staff from their primary purpose and is costly and time consuming.  Workplace disputes, for example those involving dealing with difficult or broken relationships between colleagues or managers and subordinates can cause real disruption at work.   The earlier the intervention to resolve matters, the better the outcome is likely to be for all parties.   Mediation is the most commonly used form of alternative dispute resolution in employment matters whether involving groups or individuals.

Square Peg’s Frances McAulay is now a qualified Mediator after successfully completing her training with one of the UK’s leading Mediators, John Sturrock QC of Core Solutions.   As an experienced employment lawyer Frances has considerable experience of dealing with workplace disputes particularly within the third sector, and is now pleased to be able to offer a full mediation service.   Mediation is an effective way of resolving work place disputes.  The process involves an impartial person (the mediator) helping two or more people or groups of people to reach a solution that is acceptable to everyone.  The process is completely confidential and can normally be completed in one day.

Square Peg offer both a fixed fee and a bespoke mediation service.  If you would like to know more or have a current issues you would like to discuss please contact Frances on frances.mcaulay@squarepegdevelopment.co.uk
