Parental Bereavement

The Parental Bereavement (Leave and Pay) Act 2018 has received Royal Assent.  It provides a right to two weeks’ time away from work for employees who have lost a child under 18.  The details haven’t yet been published – they will come in the form of Regulations which, amongst other things will detail how much remuneration will be payable during the leave.  The Government currently anticipates introducing supporting Regulations which will bring the Act fully into force by no later than April 2020.
